The Peak Watt Reality Index
A standard US kitchen circuit caps every blender at 1800 watts. At 120 volts and 15 amps, 1800 W is the absolute maximum available, and only about 1440 W is available continuously under the widely-used 80% rule. Any blender advertising sustained power above that figure cannot deliver it at a normal household outlet. The large numbers on the box are momentary peak or stalled-rotor figures, which is a different measurement entirely.
The one thing to know: amperage is the only power figure you can verify yourself. Amps × 120 V = real watts, and amps are printed on the appliance label.

Methodology & versioning
- What is recorded. Every wattage and horsepower figure in the table is the manufacturer's or a major retailer's published claim, reproduced as published. We do not assert that any claim is false.
- What is derived. The “watts implied by HP” column is our arithmetic: horsepower × 745.7 W. The circuit comparison is horsepower- or watt-figure vs 120 V × 15 A = 1800 W. Both are labelled derived wherever they appear.
- What is not disclosed. Where a manufacturer does not publish a figure, the cell reads “Not disclosed”. We never estimate a missing spec. The pattern of non-disclosure — particularly of amperage and of continuous ratings — is itself a finding of this dataset.
- What we did not do. We have not bench-tested any blender. No figure here is presented as our own measurement. Where a third-party measurement is referenced, it is attributed in the row's source field.
- Known limits. The 80% continuous-load guideline is a general electrical practice, not a blender-specific rule, and real available power varies with circuit condition, wire run and what else is plugged in. Peak and stalled-rotor figures are not directly comparable to continuous ratings by design.
- Versioning. v1.0 published July 30, 2026. The version-pinned CSV will not change. Corrections are published as a new version with a dated note here rather than by silently editing v1.0.
